Carport

The Lumos two-car Carport is a turnkey 3.42kW solar installation that can be delivered anywhere and setup in a day. This innovative structure provides shade for your automobiles in the summer, protection from snow and rain, and creates electricity.

The steel structure is manufactured from A500 Grade B steel. The uprights are 4”X4” 11-gauge tubular steel. The cross beams are 2”X6” 3/16”-wall steel. Socket brackets are custom laser cut welded 1/4” steel plate. Mounting feet are 10” x 10” 1/2”-steel plate with 4 pre-drilled anchoring holes. The entire structure is designed to handle snow loads and comes complete with a professional engineering stamp.

The Lumos Carport comes complete with 18 Sanyo HIT double-sided HIP-190DA3 solar panels. We use Sanyo double-sided panels because the backside of the panels generate electricity from ambient light that has passed through the panel or is reflected off surrounding surfaces. The PV Powered inverter is ready for grid-tie. Local rebates for PV systems may apply (e.g. Colorado Xcel rebate = $12,825). The Lumos Carport is eligible for the 30% Federal tax credit.
