Lumos LSX Pergola found in Sunny Paradise
LSX embodies Poipu
Poipu means "crashing waves" and Lumos LSX are crashing through the standards of solar design.
December 10, 2013 - The beautiful islands of Hawaii...there couldn't be a better place to spot Lumos LSX modules hard at work generating electricity and providing shade for the Over family. This 3.0kW pergola was installed just last month by local installer, Renewable Energy Technologies.
Poipu, HI, where the solar pergola is located, is on the south side of the island of Kauai. This major visitor island destination is branded the "sunny side of paradise" and features beautiful beaches, swimming, snorkeling and surfing, sea turtles, whales, monk seals, trade winds, palm trees, spectacular sunsets, and now this beautifully designed LSX solar pergola.
Lumos' customer service continues to surpass expectations. The team provided design recommendations regarding rail placement and orientation. And Lumos logistics coordinated getting the panels and all the mounting materials from the mainland to Kauai.
"Lumos has provided an aesthetically superior, frameless PV module with a white, clear or black backsheet, which helps to attract customers to PV that were previously opposed to the look of conventional PV modules on their roof," says Aaron Rosenstiel, Sr. Design Engineer of Renewable Energy Technologies. "It has also added the ability to design PV canopies that allow filtered light through, creating very appealing natural ambient lighting."
