Starring Anjelica Huston, escorted by Lumos LSX Modules at Airbnb "Hello LA" event
Lumos LSX Modules get Star Struck at Airbnb's "Hello LA" event with Anjelica Huston
October 8, 2013 - Airbnb has come up with a new, interesting travel experience with their kitHAUS "Pop Up Listings". Airbnb has turned 5 of the most interesting, iconic and locally relevant places in Los Angeles, CA into temporary listings that can be seen, visited and booked by the public. In addition, celebrity hosts will share their experiences of the local places by curating the listings to reflect their aesthetic, interests and loves.
Lumos LSX modules were spotted peeking behind Anjelica Huston at her curated garden retreat that is currently located at Cook's Garden by HGEL in Venice Beach, CA. This kitHAUS Pop Up Unit was designed in collaboration with local Venice architect and sustainability architecture leader Dave Hertz to emphasize the local tastes while integrating eco-friendly, green technology.
Permacity was called in by Hertz to install a solar system on the Pop Up. With the aesthetic requirements of this Unit, Permacity selected Lumos LSX clear backsheet modules to be installed to act as shade and style for the outdoor patio where visitors will be able to sit and enjoy Cook's Garden while generating power for the Unit.
From Sunday, September 29th to Friday, October 4th, celebrities, media and visitors visited Cook's Garden to walk through this Unit to experience LA through Anjelica Huston's eyes while enjoying the public events and local culture of Venice Beach.
All 5 Pop Ups will be moved to San Francisco, CA and New York City, NY in the near future. Keep an eye out for that information on Airbnb.com.
